Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN – Labor & Delivery for a 12-week night shift assignment in Wisconsin. This Level III Trauma Center unit features 13 L&D beds within a 72-bed facility and supports antepartum, postpartum, and gynecologic surgeries.

Requirements include 5 years of RN experience, active RN license, and BLS/NRP/FHM certifications. Night shifts run 12 hours with no on-call; EPIC, Pyxis, and related systems are in use.

Qualifications

• Experience with antepartum, postpartum, labor and delivery patients.
• Circulating for cesarean sections and recovery for mother and infant.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for antepartum, postpartum, labor and delivery patients.
• Support C-section procedures as circulating nurse and assist in mother/infant recovery.
• Maintain patient safety, monitor fetal status, and coordinate with OB-GYN team.

Description:This facility is a Level III Trauma Center.It features a Level II NICU and is a Primary Stroke Center.The unit has 72 beds available.There are 13 beds designated for Labor & Delivery, including triage and OR space.Patient types include antepartum, postpartum, labor and delivery, and gynecological surgeries including hysterectomies and D&Cs for patients 20 weeks and older.Adequate PPE is provided for staff.Patient ratios include 1:2 for laboring patients, 1:1 for active labor, and 1:3 for couplets.Support on the unit includes a CNA per 13 patients and OB techs serving as scrubs during C-sections.The charge nurse has a light assignment.Phlebotomy support is available for blood draws.There is an OB-GYN on call, as well as midwife coverage during the night.An OB-CRNA is available 24/7 during weekends.FHM monitoring is conducted at the nurse’s station and bedside.The unit has a secretary available during the day shift.The charting system includes EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis, Milktraker, and CPN.There is no floating required for this position.The schedule includes weekend rotations every other weekend.The manager will approve time-off requests.There is no on-call requirement.Holiday expectations are set for the nights before and after Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.Scrub color is procedural blues.
