Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN specializing in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week night-shift assignment in Minnesota. The unit handles an average daily census of 3 labors, 3-4 post-partum, and 1-2 level 2 babies; nurses perform duties including fetal monitoring, IV starts, and postpartum care.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, hold an RN license in hand if possible, and be prepared to float.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• IV Start and Triage are key skills/criteria
• Certifications: BCLS and NRPS

Responsibilities

• Administer blood products and anticoagulation therapy
• Antepartum and postpartum care
• Assist vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
• Support breastfeeding and car seat education
• Monitor fetal heart rates using monitors and manage abnormal patterns
• Float within the hospital as needed and adhere to unit protocols
• Perform medication administration and basic postpartum discharge teaching
• Complete background checks and fingerprinting as required

Description:Looking for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.The unit handles an average daily census of 3 labors, 3-4 post-partum, and 1-2 level 2 babies.The facility has 17 rooms/beds available for care.Nurses will be expected to perform various skills such as administering blood products, antepartum care, and anticoagulation therapy.Support for breastfeeding and car seat education is also part of the role.Nurses will assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections as well as provide postpartum care.Attention to mother-baby couplet care and discharge teaching to parents is essential.The position involves the use of equipment like fetal heart monitors and IV infusion pumps.Nurses will be responsible for recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, as well as managing complications like postpartum hemorrhage.Candidates must be prepared to float within the hospital as needed.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.All applicants must meet background check requirements and will undergo fingerprinting as per state regulations.Modules may be required prior to starting the assignment.
