Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN in Labor & Delivery for a 17-week assignment in Albany, GA. The role requires 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience and travel experience. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NRP is required. The unit operates with 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, and 2 ORs.

Shifts are 12-hour days, with a nurse-to-patient ratio per AWHONN standards. OB emergency room care is available, and weekends/holidays require rotation with staff.

Qualifications

• Certifications ACLS, BLS, NRP are required.
• No first-time travelers accepted for this position.

Description:The candidate must have 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and travel experience.The unit includes 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, and 2 operating rooms.There is an OB emergency room that has 6 beds.The average number of births is between 150 to 200 per month.Candidates must have Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Intermediate or above Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification.No first-time travelers are accepted for this position.The nurse-to-patient ratios follow the AWHONN FHM System.Charting is done with a specific electronic medical record system.Charge nurses are generally outside the staffing grid.Operating room technicians assist with deliveries and related tasks.In-house neonatology and obstetric hospitalists are available 24/7.Weekends are required every other weekend.There is a rotation for holiday coverage with permanent staff.The hospital provides scrubs for staff.Common patient diagnoses range from high-risk obstetrics to routine obstetrics.There is also an antepartum unit for patients requiring extended stays.Lactation specialists are on hand to assist new mothers.
