Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery to support a 13-week assignment in a high-volume unit. The role requires vigilant assessment, clear communication, and collaboration with a team of RNs for safe patient care.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, a minimum of 2 years in L&D, and certifications in NRP and BLS. Night shifts with 12-hour blocks are standard, and a strong, friendly demeanor is valued.

Description:The unit includes a total of 10 labor delivery rooms, 3 triage areas, and 2 operating room suites.A staff of 30 RNs provides care to patients.The typical patient ratio is 2 laboring patients per 1 RN.The equipment utilized includes GE monitoring systems, Novii Wireless monitoring, Spectrum IV pumps, and CADD epidural PCA.EMR system in use is Meditech.Common procedures performed include inductions, cesarean sections, and spontaneous vaginal deliveries.The ideal candidate should possess great communication skills and a friendly demeanor.The dress code requires OR scrubs to be worn on the unit.The unit has a strong team dynamic, comprised of both experienced and new nurses.There is a sense of camaraderie and engagement among staff.The unit is known for its annual holiday hat contest, where it has consistently performed well.The unit mascot is a flamingo, representing its vibrant team spirit.
