Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology in Elmhurst. This PRN role focuses on delivering skilled IR patient care, administering sedation, and monitoring during procedures under physician direction.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in IR or Cath Lab, an IL RN license, NLN-accredited nursing education, BSN preferred with a 5-year plan to obtain it, and BLS/ACLS certification. Epic documentation and collaboration with radiology teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience.
• IL RN license required.
• Graduate of NLN accredited school of Nursing; BSN strongly preferred and must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• CPR: BLS & ACLS required (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies, including contrast reactions.
• Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow within the IR lab.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic.
• Support quality and safety initiatives, including inventory and equipment readiness.
• Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training of team members.

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
