Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Interventional Procedures Tech for the Interventional Radiology department in Elmhurst. Per diem, typically 6:30 am starts, with on-call responsibilities. Requires ARRT and IEMA; RCIS preferred.

A 2-year allied health degree, BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and cath lab experience are highly valued. Role involves performing technical and clinical duties within a lab team, monitoring cardiac rhythm, documenting procedures, and maintaining records.

• Certifications required: ARRT, IEMA.
• Certifications preferred: RCIS.
• Education: 2-year degree in an allied health field from an accredited school or equivalent.
• CPR: BLS (AHA), ACLS within 1 year.
• Experience: Previous Cath Lab experience highly preferred.
• Skills: Self-motivation, technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and clinical duties as part of the laboratory team performing diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor cardiac rhythm, hemodynamic waveform and document during routine and complex cardiology procedures.
• Provide monitoring during cardiogenic shock, acute MI, and cardiac arrest.
• Interpret EKG rhythm and hemodynamic abnormalities.
• Become familiar with EKG and waveform recognition.
• Maintain patient records and logs; complete required documentation for procedures.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range: $38.96 - $60.39 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will need:

• Certifications (Required): ARRT, IEMA

What you will do:

• Perform a variety of technical and clinical duties which require independent judgment to function as an integrated part of the laboratory team of technicians, nurses and physicians performing diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures
• Monitor cardiac rhythm, hemodynamic waveform and provide detailed documentation during routine and complex cardiology procedures
• Provide monitoring, during cardiogenic shock, acute MI, and cardiac arrest
• Interpret EKG rhythm disorder and hemodynamic abnormalities
• Become familiar with EKG and hemodynamic waveform recognition
• Maintain responsibility for proper patient records and procedure logs
• Charge and complete all required documentation for procedures
