Job summary

Registered Nurse, Interventional Radiology in Evanston, IL, is available through Endeavor Health. The role includes day shift hours Mon-Fri with on-call duties and 30-minute on-site reporting. A 20k sign-on bonus is offered and licensure plus IR experience are required.

Responsibilities include nursing care for IR patients, IV sedation, patient monitoring, and collaboration with radiology teams. Epic documentation and safety initiatives are emphasized.

Qualifications

• IL RN license is required.
• NLN-accredited school of Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred.
• CPR: BLS & ACLS required (AHA).
• 2+ years of critical care experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies, including contrast reactions.
• Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow within the IR lab.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic.
• Support quality and safety initiatives, including inventory and equipment readiness.
• Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training of team members.

Hourly Pay Range: $37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. $20K sign-on bonus Requires 1+ year of IR experience, 2 year commitment

Position Highlights:

On-Call responsibility, must be able to report to Evanston within 30 minutes

What you will need:

• IL RN license
• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• CPR: BLS & ACLS required (Issued by American Heart Association)
• 2+ years of critical care experience highly preferred
