Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology in Elmhurst. This PRN position involves providing specialized nursing care for IR patients, administering IV sedation under physician direction, and monitoring patients during procedures.

You will collaborate with radiology staff to ensure safe, efficient care and contribute to patient education and post-procedure follow-up. The role requires 2+ years in IR/Cath Lab, IL RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification, with BSN

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience.
• IL RN license is required.
• BSN preferred; must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• CPR: BLS & ACLS required (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies, including contrast reactions.
• Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow within the IR lab.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic.
• Support quality and safety initiatives, including equipment readiness.
• Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training of team members

Hourly Pay Range: $37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What You Will Need

• 2+ years of Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience

• Graduate of a NLN accredited school of Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred, must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
