Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (Days) at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This per-diem role requires availability for a 7:00am–7:30pm shift and a minimum 48 hours every 6 weeks, including 24 weekend hours.

Orientation is scheduled the first two weeks, with full clinical onboarding and evaluations. You will perform patient assessments, coordinate care plans, teach patients and families, and participate in quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN required.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data with patient, family and care team.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients and care teams in person, by phone and in writing.
• Personalizes patient/family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating nursing practice through quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
