Job summary

Medasource is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room who will take shift accountability and provide evidence-based care using the Nursing Process. The role emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, and clinical judgement in planning safe patient delivery.

The RN must be ACLS/BLS certified with a Texas RN license (or compact) and have at least 1 year ICU experience, with the flexibility to float to Tele/LTAC as census dictates.

Qualifications

• Requires ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Must hold Texas RN license or multi-state compact license.
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience in a hospital setting.

Job Description –

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Facility Requirements

• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications these must be attached to the submission (Must be through the American Heart Association)
• Must have Texas RN or multi-state compact license
• Must have 1 year recent ICU experience in a hospital setting
• Candidate must be willing to float to Tele/LTAC depending on census
