Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting. The RN will supervise care, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and ensure compliance with nursing standards during the shift.

The role emphasizes strong clinical judgment, compassionate teamwork, and patient advocacy in a fast-paced clinical environment. Relevant TX licensure is required or compact state licensure accepted.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TX or compact state.
• 1+ year of acute care, ICU, or LTAC experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS required.
• Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
• Compassionate, team-oriented mindset.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric. He/she is also responsible for the overall direction and supervision of all patient care during his/her shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care to patients. Satisfies the established standards of nursing practice. Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to LPN, CNA and other patient care team members. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. As appropriate, takes into consideration the patients’ age in the performance of any task.
