Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, OR is seeking an RN for the Intensive Care Float Pool to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with critical health issues in a dynamic team environment.

You will perform multi-system assessments, develop plans of care, coordinate discharge planning, follow protocols, document in the EMR, and participate in unit quality assurance.

Requires RN license in Oregon, BLS; ICU experience preferred; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

About This Role

What You'll Do

• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.


• Develop an individual nursing plan of care sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.


• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.


• Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients.


• Correctly carry out the physician's plan of care and accurately document in the EMR.


• Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patients' responses to treatment.


• Participate in unit quality assurance activities.

Requirements

Education:

• RN degree required

Experience:

• Experience in critical care preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current RN License in Oregon
