Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Hospital Operations Supervisor RN to oversee hospital-wide nursing services during evening, night or weekend shifts in Towson, MD. The role requires an active Maryland RN license and at least 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience, with BSN preferred.

You will monitor high-risk cases, coordinate staffing, and contribute to policy development. The position offers on-site work, competitive pay, and opportunities to influence nursing operations and staff development

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Maryland.
• At least 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience, with inpatient exposure.
• BSN is preferred.
• Strong leadership and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees or shares oversight of hospital-wide nursing services during evening, night or weekend shifts.
• Reviews shift reports and ensures quality of nursing services; participates in rounds.
• Monitors high-risk cases and acts on in-the-moment clinical needs.
• May reallocate nursing resources to meet building needs.
• Provides input into performance appraisals and competency assessments.
• Communicates effectively with the Chief Nursing Officer, unit managers, senior directors, and staffing office.
• Participates in development of nursing policies and evaluation of operations.
