Job summary

Sheppard Pratt in Towson, MD is opening a General Adult Inpatient Unit and seeks a Registered Nurse to join the team for 36 hours weekly, 7 PM to 7 AM with rotating weekends, in person. You will perform psychiatric nursing duties, administer treatments, teach families, and provide day-to-day clinical direction to staff, with orientation starting on first day.

Maryland RN license required; compacts supported. Prior psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Maryland (or compact state) at appointment.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Orientation/training begins immediately after first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care per treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
