Job summary

Sheppard Pratt Towson is seeking a Nurse Coordinator for the Towson hospital campus, covering Day and Evening shifts 7a-7p, 36 hours weekly with rotating weekends. The role supports two inpatient units.

You will perform full range psychiatric nursing services, administer treatments, teach families, and provide clinical direction to Mental Health Workers, documenting progress for the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RN license in Maryland at time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout employment.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
• Inpatient RN experience: one year minimum; LPN inpatient experience may count with equivalent RN hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care per team plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other staff.
• Document and report patient progress to the treatment team.
