Job summary

UW Health's University Hospital in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 60% FTE weekend-based position in a brand-new intermediate care unit that bridges ICU and general care. The role includes day/night shifts and required weekend work with scheduling holidays per guidelines.

You will join a unit delivering high-acuity care to adults with complex diagnoses, gaining extensive opportunities for learning and professional development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in WI or a compact jurisdiction
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 6 months inpatient nursing experience or successful completion of UW Health Nurse Residency Program
• Current CPR/BLS Certification; ACLS within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care for adults in a 16-bed intermediate care unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions between levels of care
• Uphold evidence-based practice and patient safety standards
• Support staff learning and professional growth
