Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) at University Hospital in Madison, WI. The position involves floating across medical and surgical units, delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and utilizing critical thinking to assess and intervene for complex patient populations.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor students, and may participate in Shared Governance and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Six months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health\u2019s Nurse Residency Program.
• WIRN license or compact state license upon hire.
• Current CPR/BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS within 6 months required.
• Relevant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float across multiple departments and specialties caring for complex patient populations.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care with critical thinking and timely nursing interventions.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams and delegate tasks as needed.
• Serve as a mentor/preceptor and contribute to strategic planning and Shared Governance.
