Job summary

UW Health's East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 90% FTE position on a fast-paced Med Surg 3rd floor inpatient unit. Evening/night shifts rotate with weekends/holidays, offering shift/weekend differentials and robust benefits.

The unit features state-of-the-art technology and a Magnet designation, with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensed RN in Wisconsin or a compact state.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Inpatient nursing experience: 6 months or Nurse Residency completion.
• Relevant RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, diverse environment.
• Care for general medical/surgical patients across a wide range of diagnoses.
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate plan of care.
• Manage postoperative patients and assist with discharge planning in a high-volume setting.
