Ascension is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse leader at Ascension Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. You will drive infection prevention strategies, conduct active surveillance, and lead cross-functional efforts to minimize infections in high-volume hospital units.

The role requires RN licensure and CBIC infection control credentialing within 3 years of hire, with strong collaboration across pharmacy, lab, and medical teams to follow CDC guidance and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Certification specializing in Infection Control (CBIC) required within 3 years of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) prior to hire/date of transfer.

Responsibilities

• Drive infection prevention strategies via active surveillance and root-cause investigations to reduce catheter-associated infections.
• Streamline regulatory reporting by tracking organisms and enforcing isolation precautions to protect staff and patients.
• Enhance ER workflows with triage screening tools and real-time aseptic technique audits during resuscitations.
