Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN is seeking an Infection Control RN to join our Infection Control Department on day shift and PRN coverage. The role focuses on implementing the Infection Control Plan and surveillance.

You will develop policies, perform surveillance, report to public health authorities, and provide education and training. Required RN license in Tennessee, Certification in Infection Control within 24 months, BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Infection control and public health surveillance experience.
• Ability to develop and implement infection control policies.
• Experience delivering training and education on infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Administer the organization's Infection Control Plan and prepare the Infection Control Surveillance Summary.
• Develop policies and procedures to promote compliance with accrediting and regulatory mandates.
• Perform infection surveillance and investigation including planning, data collection, interpretation and reporting.
• Report infection surveillance, prevention and control information to public health authorities as required by law.
• Provide consultation, education and training for infection control issues.
