Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking an RN Educator & Infection Preventionist at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma City. The role combines education program development for staff orientation with leadership in infection prevention initiatives to drive patient safety and care quality.

The position requires an active RN license, at least 4 years of nursing experience, and BLS certification, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and a nursing degree from an accredited school.
• BLS certification is required; BSN preferred for advancement.
• At least 4 years of nursing experience; education or infection prevention experience favored.
• Rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates education programs and orientation for staff, students, volunteers and contracted nursing staff.
• Develops and oversees the annual Infection Control Plan; reports findings to leadership and committees.
• Ensures infection surveillance data and prevention information are communicated to hospital staff.
• Supports hospital quality improvement processes and continuous learning initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
