Job summary

A Georgia license (RN or LPN) is required; you will oversee outbreak control, vaccination programs, and staff education. The successful candidate will monitor infections, analyze antibiotic usage data, implement evidence-based practices, and ensure regulatory compliance within a long-term

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active Georgia LPN or RN license.
• Knowledge of nursing, infection prevention, and control protocols and applicable laws/regulations for long-term care.
• Must be able to push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and operate within Magnolia Manor’s Infection Prevention & Control Program.
• Monitor healthcare associated infections on an ongoing basis.
• Collect, analyze and report infection and antibiotic usage data and trends to staff and practitioners; advise on risk assessment and prevention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with Antibiotic Stewardship program.
• Manage outbreak control and report to proper authorities; educate staff on precautions.
• Oversee Staff and Resident Education Program for infection control.
• Educate staff on isolation precautions and PPE use.
• Oversee vaccination programs for residents; document and ensure timely vaccination administration.
• Review IPCP annually and assist with policy development as needed.
• Stay current with infection control guidelines and regulations.
