Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT seeks an experienced Infection Control Leader to oversee the hospital’s infection prevention program and coordinate across departments. You will address exposure investigations, policy development, and staff training to reduce infection risks.

Oversees the Infection Control Programs and processes for the local ministry they support. Supports the hospital-wide Infection Prevention Program, including the identification and reduction of infection risks among patients, staff members, physicians, other licensed independent practitioners, and other persons in the hospital environment. Works with leadership team to ensure all infection control incidents, outbreaks, & exposures are investigated and resolved in a timely manner. Serves as an expert in infection prevention and control for departments and hospital personnel. Ensures on going Joint Commission (TJC) requirements and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and /or accrediting agencies are met.
