Trinity Health Of New England's Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking an experienced Infection Control professional to oversee the infection prevention program on site. The role focuses on preventing disease transmission across all patient ages and staff.
Responsibilities include leading epidemiological investigations of exposures, developing policies and quality initiatives, and delivering in-services with department leaders.

Oversees the Infection Control Programs and processes for the local ministry they support. Supports the hospital-wide Infection Prevention Program, including the identification and reduction of infection risks among patients, staff members, physicians, other licensed independent practitioners, and other persons in the hospital environment. Works with leadership team to ensure all infection control incidents, outbreaks, & exposures are investigated and resolved in a timely manner. Serves as an expert in infection prevention and control for departments and hospital personnel. Ensures on going Joint Commission (TJC) requirements and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and /or accrediting agencies are met.
