Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is hiring an Experienced Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit. This full-time role offers day shift with a 36-hour work week, sign-on bonus up to $15,000, and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

The RN will lead care on the Stroke Unit, supervise staff, and drive safety and quality initiatives under the department manager, shaping patient care and unit culture.

Qualifications

• RN-Bachelor’s Degree or RN-Master’s Degree required
• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN license in good standing
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one year of hire
• BLS within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for delivery of nursing care in the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit
• Lead safety and quality initiatives under department manager
• Mentor staff and shape unit culture, quality, and patient care
• Collaborate to improve staff satisfaction and patient experience
