Job summary

Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit. The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care.

Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one year of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• RN-Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred if not nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership in the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit.
• Lead safety and quality initiatives and promote best practices.

Position Available

• Full time, 36 hours per week
• Day Shift

Education

• RN-Bachelor’s Degree
• RN-Master’s Degree

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one (1) year of hire
• BLS within 90 days of hire

Experience

• Experienced RN
• 18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.
