Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Weinberg General Adult OR to provide expert perioperative care for adult surgical patients in both scrub and circulating roles. Cases include thoracic, GI, plastics, ENT, endocrine, oncology and general surgeries; a 6-month orientation supports new graduates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• RN work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care for adult surgical patients in scrub and circulating roles.
• Support thoracic, GI, plastics, ENT, endocrine, oncology and general surgeries in a fast-paced team setting.
• Mentor new grads and participate in orientation and continuous professional development.

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide expert care for adult surgical patients, serving in both scrub and circulating roles. Primary surgical services include thoracic, gastrointestinal, plastics, ENT, endocrine, oncology, and general surgeries. This fast-paced, team-oriented environment offers the opportunity to work alongside leading surgeons and multidisciplinary teams. New graduate nurses benefit from a comprehensive 6-month orientation, designed to build confidence and clinical excellence in the perioperative setting.
