Job summary

Washington Soldiers Home in Washington state is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 for a part-time, permanent swing shift role (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Friday to Monday). The facility provides skilled nursing care to Veterans and their families and does not offer telework.

Under the supervision of the RN 3, you will administer medications, perform nursing assessments, document care, and provide leadership to NAC staff to ensure dignified, resident-centered support.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Washington State RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to facilitate effective and safe clinical care for residents.
• A combination of education and experience may be considered; experience must be relevant to the position.
• Agency Required Competencies: ability to take action to learn and grow; ability to meet the needs of others.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing and nursing-related care to veteran residents.
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor self-pour medications.
• Maintain incident logs and provide feedback to direct care staff.
• Lead NAC staff and ensure dignified, resident-centered care.
