Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a PRN Medical Oncology Infusion Nurse for the Sibley Nursing Team. This role delivers chemotherapy and supportive care in a 37-chair Infusion Center, with 10-hour day shifts Monday through Friday and a Premier PRN schedule.

The position requires a DC RN license, BSN or higher, oncology experience, and BLS. OCN preferred and must be completed within 9 months of hire; chemo/biotherapy training via ONS or completed within 3 months.

Qualifications

• DC RN license is required.
• BSN or higher degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum 6 months of Oncology experience.
• OCN certification preferred; must be obtained within 9 months of hire.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course through ONS or completed within 3 months of hire.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Position Details

• Medical Oncology/Infusion Center- 37 chairs
• Premier PRN (6 shifts every 6 weeks, 1 shift per week)
• 10 hour day shift M-F (flex start times)

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor degree with second degree in Nursing.
• 6 months of experience, Oncology preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred. Must be OCN within 9 months of hire date.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course through ONS with successful completion or must be successfully completed within 3 months of hire date.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support

Salary Range:

Minimum 57.90/hour - Maximum 57.90/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
