Job summary

Johns Hopkins Health System is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse for the Sibley Memorial Hospital infusion center in Washington, DC. The role offers a full-time schedule with 40 hours per week and a benefitted position in a 37-chair Medical Oncology/Infusion Center.

The ideal candidate will hold a DC RN license, a BSN (or second nursing degree), and have Oncology experience with JHHS Oncology preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia (DC).
• BSN or a second degree in Nursing.
• 6 months of RN experience or more; Oncology experience preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred; must be OCN within 9 months of hire date.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course through ONS, either completed or to be completed within 3 months of hire date.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Medical Oncology/Infusion Center described as 37 chairs.
• Provide full-time, benefitted nursing care; 40 hours/week.
• 8-hour day shift, Mon–Fri, 8:00–17:00; no weekends or holidays.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor degree with second degree in Nursing.
• 6 months of RN experience or more
• Oncology preferred
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred. Must be OCN within 9 months of hire date.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course through ONS with successful completion or must be successfully completed within 3 months of hire date.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support

Salary Range:

Minimum 43.25/hour - Maximum 67.04/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
