Job summary

RHA Health Services in North Carolina is hiring an IDD Nurse (RN) to provide oversight and general nursing care in residential homes, vocational centers and schools. The role offers a $75,000 annual salary with a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

The position requires an RN license with no restrictions; BSN is preferred. You will coordinate medical care, supervise LPNs/med techs, and train staff on medication administration and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited registered nurse program.
• Current registered nurse license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• CPR certification or eligibility to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Observe, assess, and evaluate health needs of the people supported.
• Coordinate preventive and routine medical care for people supported.
• Document nursing care provided and supervise LPNs and med techs as needed.
• Assist with educational and training programs for new employees and plan timely sessions.
• Promote workplace safety and environmental best practices.
• Conduct medication administration training where state law allows.
