Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Experienced Inpatient RN for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This eighteen-bed unit provides intermediate care with telemetry monitoring, focusing on stroke, TIA, seizure, and post-operative neurosurgical patients.

Requirements include RN license, BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and a nursing diploma with >1 year of experience. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and a $2,500 BSN bonus are available to eligible external applicants.

Qualifications

• RN license required, BLS and ACLS certifications within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessments and develops care plans.
• Delivers nursing care per unit standards and plans of care.
• Maintains accurate documentation for the healthcare team.
• Communicates with patients and families to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Upholds safety and quality measures, including stroke/TIA-specific care where applicable.
• Assesses post-operative neurosurgical patients and monitors vitals and alarms.
