Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join the ICU team on night shifts. This full-time role is 36 hours per week and includes a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 for experienced nurses.

Not accepting new graduate applications at this time. The RN will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult/geriatric ICU patients, adhering to standards of nursing practice and unit protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensure: Current Oklahoma RN License
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS certified. NIHSS required if new to the unit; if new to the unit nurse will obtain within the first three months of employment in Critical Care.
• Other: Completes Hospital and Unit Specific nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care of assigned patients in the ICU in all care phases.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care per standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Overview

Critical Care Registered Nurses are accountable for the provision of nursing care of assigned patients in all phases of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse, utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensure: Current Oklahoma RN License
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. NIHSS; if new to the unit nurse will obtain within the first three months of employment in Critical Care
• Other: Completes Hospital and Unit Specific nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually, submits to Nurse Manager/ Education Coordinator.
