Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse for night shift in the ICU. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, using evidence-based practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Oklahoma RN license, BLS and ACLS, and unit competency within 3 months. Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Oklahoma RN License.
• BLS & ACLS certifications current.
• Complete hospital/unit nursing competency within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ICU adults/geriatric patients from assessment to evaluation.
• Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care.
• Adhere to nursing practice standards and hospital policies.

Overview

Critical Care Registered Nurses are accountable for the provision of nursing care of assigned patients in all phases of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse, utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.


• Licensure: Current Oklahoma RN License


• Certifications: BLS & ACLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. NIHSS; if new to the unit nurse will obtain within the first three months of employment in Critical Care


• Other: Completes Hospital and Unit Specific nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually, submits to Nurse Manager/ Education Coordinator.
