Job summary

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd in Midwest City, OK is hiring an ICU Registered Nurse for night shift (36 hours/week). A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered for experienced nurses. Not accepting new graduate applications at this time.

Responsibilities include delivering critical care nursing, coordinating care, and assessing and planning patient care in the ICU. Oklahoma RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS are required; NIHSS may be obtained within 3 months for new ICU staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current Oklahoma RN License.
• BLS & ACLS certifications current; NIHSS required/obtained within 3 months if new to ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for ICU patients across all care phases.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver safe, effective patient care.

Overview

Critical Care Registered Nurses are accountable for the provision of nursing care of assigned patients in all phases of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse, utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice for adult/geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensure: Current Oklahoma RN License
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. NIHSS; if new to the unit nurse will obtain within the first three months of employment in Critical Care
• Other: Completes Hospital and Unit Specific nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually, submits to Nurse Manager/ Education Coordinator.
