Job summary

Mercy Hospital on W Memorial Rd in Edmond, OK is hiring for an ICU Step Down nurse on a nights, full-time 36-hour-per-week schedule. Sign-on bonus available up to $15,000 for experienced nurses. Accepting applications for 2026 new graduates.

The unit serves high-acuity neurological, medical and surgical patients and is part of the Critical Care service line. RN licensure in the hiring state or compact licensure is required, with BSN preferred but ADN acceptable.

• Requires Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
