Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the nursing care of patients requiring specialized judgment and skill, based on knowledge of natural, behavioral, nursing sciences, and humanities.
  2. Model appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.
  3. Provide practice excellence through assessment, care, evaluation, and education.
  4. Promote evidence-based practice using research to develop standards, care plans, protocols, and guidelines.
  5. Demonstrate leadership in clinical practice areas.
  6. Engage in professional development and foster a growth environment.
  7. Support cultural diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (RN) required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of acute care/bedside experience.
  • Skills in assessing complex patient conditions, synthesizing information, and applying technical nursing principles.
  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), and RN licenses for Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical activities include climbing, standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials, with the ability to react quickly in emergencies.
  • Exertion of up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently.
  • Visual acuity for patient assessment and data analysis.
