Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU in Seattle, WA for a 13-week contract. Night shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), three shifts per week, with at least every other weekend. Eligible for floating to Cherry Hill and Issaquah campuses as needed.

Responsibilities include critical care for adult/geriatric patients, high-acuity cases, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires at least 2 years in critical care and current RN licensure with ACLS/BLS/NIHSS

Qualifications

Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). At least every other weekend required. Holiday requests off (RTO) are acceptable.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you will provide critical care to adult and geriatric patients, including those with sepsis, respiratory failure, thoracic and vascular surgery needs, GI bleed, and liver transplant cases. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 and may be required to float to Cherry Hill and occasionally to Issaquah campuses. You will be involved in managing specialized patient populations, particularly those with multisystem organ failure and liver cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care and nursing interventions for patients in the MICU and SICU.
• Administer medications and treatments, including blood products, CRRT, and ventilator management.
• Perform and assist with procedures such as chest tube setup and care, tracheostomy care, and defibrillation.
• Ensure effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to patient care plans.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in critical care settings.
• Experience in at least two specialized areas, such as SICU and Neuro ICU.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current compact state RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are required.
• CCRN certification is preferred.
