Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Edmonds, WA. This is a 13-week contract with a night schedule of 3x12 hour shifts (19:00–07:30) in a mixed Telemetry and IMCU unit.

The role focuses on pre/post cardiac care, BPAP/CPAP management, and care for adult and geriatric patients with respiratory, cardiac, and renal conditions. Candidate must float between IMCU and Telemetry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in acute care settings.
• Experience in IMCU/Telemetry nursing preferred.
• Active Compact RN license required plus ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and intermediate care.
• Administer medications including amiodarone and antiarrhythmics.
• Perform cardioversion and defibrillation; obtain 12-lead EKGs.
• Manage drains, epidural pumps, feeding tubes, and PCA pumps.
• Provide wound care and manage wound VAC systems.
• Assist with IV therapy and central line care.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Mixed Telemetry and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The focus includes pre/post cardiac catheterization, management of BPAP/CPAP, and care for adult and geriatric patients with general respiratory failure, cardiac, and renal conditions. The candidate must be comfortable floating between IMCU and Telemetry units.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and intermediate care.
• Administer medications including amiodarone and antiarrhythmics.
• Perform procedures such as cardioversion, defibrillation, and obtain 12 lead EKGs.
• Manage drains, epidural pumps, feeding tubes, and PCA pumps.
• Provide wound care and manage wound vac systems.
• Assist with IV therapy and central line care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with a focus in an acute care settings.
• Experience in IMCU/Telemetry nursing preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Compact RN license required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
