Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays required as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team. The MICU is a specialized area that focuses on internal medicine and non-surgical diseases, providing care for patients with severe infections, acute respiratory failure, diabetic emergencies, and other critical health issues. The nurse will be responsible for managing complex internal illnesses using advanced medical therapies, support with ventilators, and continuous drug infusions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU.
• Utilize ventilators and continuous drug infusions effectively.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
• Maintain documentation in the electronic medical records system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of current MICU experience.
• Current ventilator experience.
• Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact License.
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• EPIC EMR experience is highly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
