Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU assignment in Massachusetts. The MICU position emphasizes night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with 12-hour blocks and a 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratio depending on acuity.

Applicants must have 2+ years in adult ICU/MICU, an active RN license, and AHA BLS & ACLS certifications. Telemetry reading is required and floating to other units is expected.

Description:This position is for a Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).The unit cares for a wide range of adult patients with various diagnoses.Common conditions include substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock.Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day.The unit has 20 beds and operates as a Level III Trauma Center.Floating to other medical and surgical units is required.Telemetry competency is necessary.The RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other units.All patient populations are cared for in this unit.Charting is done using an electronic medical record system.
