Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU assignment in Littleton, Colorado. This 13-week contract runs on the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with 12-hour shifts, caring for adult ICU patients in a 30-bed unit staffed by a team of 57.

The role requires acute care ICU experience, an active RN license, and ACLS/BLS certifications. The ideal candidate will be flexible, capable of mid-shift reassignment, and proficient with Meditech EMR.

Qualifications

• Must have active RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year ICU acute care experience; 2+ years preferred.
• NIH certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to adult ICU patients.
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios (1:2-3) as required by unit policy.
• Operate Lenet beds and GE monitors; document in Meditech EMR.
• Adapt assignments mid-shift to changing patient acuity and census.
• Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient care.

Description:This position involves providing critical care to adult patients in an intensive care unit.The unit typically has 30 beds and a staff of 57.On the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse with a ratio of 1 RN to 2-3 patients.Patient ratios may increase due to overflow situations.Equipment used includes Lenet beds and GE monitors with EMR using Meditech.The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to change assignments mid-shift to accommodate patient acuity.Procedures performed on the unit include rapid intubation, chest tubes, and external ventricular drains (EVD).Candidates with neuro certification and neuro or trauma experience are preferred.The unit has nurse externs available to assist the staff.This is a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their skills in a challenging and supportive environment.
