Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an ICU RN for an immediate 13-week assignment in Bangor, ME. The role requires 2+ years ICU experience, active nursing license, and ICU-specific skills such as neuro/trauma care, ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic line care.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing License required.

• BLS, ACLS; NIHSS, PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to medical, surgical, trauma, neuro, ortho, and interventional patients.
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratios; third patient possible with discharge/move.
• Float to pediatric ICU if qualified; unit support available 24/7.
• Chart using Cerner system; collaborate with charge nurse and specialists.

• Proficient in hemodynamic lines (A-lines/CVP)
• Cardiac rhythm recognition and chest tube management
• Tracheostomy care and strong assessment skills

Description:Immediate need for Registered Nurses with critical care experience.Candidates should be prepared to care for a variety of patient types, including medical, surgical, trauma, neuro, ortho, and interventional patients.Daily patient ratios may be 1:2 based on acuity, with the possibility of a third patient if one is being discharged or moved.Experience in charge nurse roles is beneficial and should be noted in the application.Candidates may float to the pediatric intensive care unit if they have the necessary experience and certifications.Support on the unit includes an unassigned charge nurse, resource nurse/house supervisor available 24/7, and hospitalist and intensivist on call for consults.Charting experience with the Cerner system is preferred.Requirements include critical care experience with specific skills mentioned.Weekend rotation is required, with every other weekend scheduled as either day or night shift.Holiday scheduling will vary based on needs, and requests must be approved by management.
