Job summary

Perimeter Healthcare in Springfield is seeking a House Supervisor – RN to lead the inpatient psychiatric care team for children and adolescents. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care with physicians, and ensure safe, patient-centered rounds on a 12-hour shift schedule.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in behavioral health, Missouri RN license, CPR/BLS, and the ability to implement care plans, standards of care, and safety policies while fostering a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri RN license or qualified compact license.
• Current CPR certification required; BLS certification preferred.
• Ability to become certified in Handle with Care within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Two years of inpatient behavioral health or mental health experience preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise services on assigned units to promote a positive patient care environment.
• Conduct regular rounds on nursing units, including checking in with licensed and non-licensed staff, monitoring acutely ill patients, and greeting new admissions.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff with assessments, care planning, prioritization, education, supplies, and medication availability.
• Facilitate timely communication between nurses, providers, responsible parties, and outside vendors to support patient care needs.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure appropriate procedures and safety measures are followed.
• Help ensure staffing needs are met across assigned units.
