Perimeter Behavioral of Jackson is seeking a House Supervisor - RN to oversee nursing services on assigned units, ensuring high-quality patient care and coordinating with physicians and families.

The ideal candidate holds a TN (or compact) RN license, CPR, and Handle with Care certification within 30 days; two years inpatient mental health experience and one year of supervision are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective working relationships with physicians, health professional affiliates, patients' families, and nursing staff.
• Assist in coordinating and supervising services on assigned units to achieve a positive patient care atmosphere.
• Perform regular rounding on nursing units and follow up with staff and new admissions.
• Assist in creating a team atmosphere that enhances quality of care and patient experience.
• Provide support and direction for nurses in assessments, care planning, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring supplies and medications.
• Facilitate communication between nurses and providers, responsible parties, or vendors to meet patient needs.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure proper measures are conducted and fulfilled.
• Ensure proper staffing on all assigned units.

The House Supervisor is responsible for the following:

• Maintain effective working relationship with physicians, health professional affiliates, patient's families, and nursing staff.
• Assist in coordinating and supervising services on assigned units to achieve a comfortable and positive patient care atmosphere.
• Perform regular rounding on nursing units that include following up with licensed and non-licensed staff, check on acutely ill patients, and greet all new admissions.
• Assist in creating a team atmosphere that enhances quality of care and experience for patients.
• Provide support and direction for nurses by assisting them in assessments and care planning who may be experiencing a change in condition, assist in prioritizing tasks, provide education, and ensure proper supplies and medications are available.
• Facilitate communication between licensed nurses and providers, responsible parties or outside vendors as needed to ensure patient care needs are met promptly and appropriately.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure proper measures are conducted and fulfilled.
• Ensure proper staffing needs are met on all assigned units.

Qualified candidates for House Supervisor must meet the following requirements:

• License:Valid Register Nurse License with the State of Tennessee or has qualified compact license. Must have valid CPR and is able to become certified in Handle with Care within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of inpatient mental health working experience is preferred.
• One year supervisory experience is preferred.
