Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Jackson is seeking an RN House Supervisor to lead nursing teams on our inpatient psychiatric units. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with physicians and families to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualified candidates will hold a valid Tennessee RN license with CPR; a compact license is accepted; ability to obtain Handle with Care within 30 days. Prior inpatient mental health and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in TN or compact license; CPR certification.
• Two years inpatient mental health experience preferred.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective working relationships with physicians, health professional affiliates, patients' families and nursing staff.
• Coordinate and supervise services on assigned units to ensure a comfortable, positive patient care atmosphere.
• Perform regular rounds on nursing units, follow up with licensed and non-licensed staff, monitor acutely ill patients and greet new admissions.
• Create a team atmosphere that enhances quality of care and patient experience.
• Provide support and direction for nurses in assessments and care planning during changes in condition; prioritize tasks and ensure supplies and medications are available.
• Facilitate communication between licensed nurses and providers, responsible parties or outside vendors to meet patient care needs promptly.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure proper measures are conducted and fulfilled.
• Ensure staffing needs are met on all assigned units.
