Job summary

WhidbeyHealth Medical Center seeks a House Supervisor (RN) to coordinate across hospital departments and perform essential administrative tasks during shifts.

You will liaise with patients, families, and clinicians to ensure high-quality patient care, serving as the primary nursing contact when managers are unavailable and overseeing patient flow across units including Emergency, ICU, and Surgical Services.

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN licensed in Washington State.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience in an acute setting.
• NIMS training completion required.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare best practices and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with departments and senior management to ensure quality care.
• Ensure nursing staff have adequate rest and meal breaks.
• Provide clinical instruction and guidance to nursing staff as needed.
• Assign staff per scope of practice to maximize patient outcomes.
• Oversee overnight and weekend patient flow and act as primary contact when managers are unavailable.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and participate in committees as assigned.
