Job summary

The RN House Operations Administrator (HOA) at Elmhurst Hospital, part of Endeavor Health, provides on‑duty clinical and operational leadership for nights, coordinating patient flow, staffing, safety, and rapid response.

This role acts as the central decision maker during shifts, guiding Charge Nurses and the Resource Team, ensuring real-time decisions maintain safe, high‑quality care across units while escalating issues to leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• The role requires a Bachelor's in Nursing and valid RN licensure in Illinois.
• Experience in leadership roles (Charge Nurse, Supervisor) is preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive nursing experience, with critical care or high-acuity setting preferred.
• ACLS/BLS certifications encouraged; ACLS obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical and operational activity across the shift.
• Direct patient flow, staffing deployment, and resource allocation.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff and managers.
• Escalate urgent matters to leadership and coordinate safety efforts.
• Conduct rounds to monitor acuity and standards of care.
• Lead emergency responses and ensure regulatory compliance.
