Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking an RN House Operations Administrator to serve as the on-duty clinical and operational leader for Elmhurst Hospital. This role ensures hospital-wide oversight of patient flow, staffing, safety, and emergency response during night shifts.

The HOA directs real-time operations, supervises Charge Nurses and staff, and collaborates with leadership to maintain continuity of safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; master's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive nursing experience with leadership roles.
• Active RN license in Illinois or eligible for license in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-wide clinical and operational leadership on duty during shifts.
• Oversee patient flow, staffing, safety, and emergency response.
• Direct real-time shift-based clinical and operational activity and resource allocation.
• Escalate performance or safety concerns through leadership chain.
