Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) Hospice House is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide holistic hospice and palliative care for patients and families facing life-limiting illness.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to educate families, coordinate discharge planning, and manage medications with careful attention to comfort and dignity. The role includes supervising CNAs and contributing to staff orientation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current RN license with Arkansas State Board of Nursing or Compact Multistate Licensure.
  • BLS certification.
  • 1 year of hospital or nursing home experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process.
  • Coordinate patient/family education, discharge planning, and transfer processes.
  • Administer medications, including subcutaneous injections and pain management therapies.
  • Perform sterile dressing changes and follow infection control protocols.
  • Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes in hospice standards.
  • Collaborate with IDT to update care plans and coordinate care.
  • Supervise CNAs and provide delegation as needed.
  • Respond to patient emergencies and condition changes.
